I almost don't want to hype this property too much and be a bit greedy and keep it to myself. Everything was clean and easy to check in and out. Highly recommend this property. Especially if you're headed to Busch Gardens. Only a 10 minute drive. Comfy bed, good wifi and super friendly owners and staff.

We recently stayed at the Rochambeau Roadside Inn and honestly cannot recommend it enough! It completely exceeded our expectations and was a highlight of our trip to Williamsburg.
First off, the room was fantastic and the staff was so friendly! It was spotless, well designed and you can tell they put so much thought into the renovations; it felt like a high-end boutique hotel rather than a standard roadside stop.
The lobby is also worth a special mention. It’s so cool, has such a great vibe (the wallpaper is amazing), and it was the perfect spot to grab a cup of coffee before heading out for the day.
One of our absolute favorite memories from the trip was spending the evening by the outdoor fire pit. We roasted marshmallows with our kids and made s'mores, which was a great way to end our day in Williamsburg.
Location-wise, you couldn't ask for better. It is super close to Colonial Williamsburg and a very quick drive or bike ride away making it the perfect "base camp" for seeing the history around town.
If you are looking for a unique, comfortable, and friendly place to stay in Williamsburg, this is the place to stay!!! We will be back!

I find most hotels in Williamsburg to be musty, outdated, or totally lacking in personality — this was not the case with Rochambeau. It's a great little find. The motel felt a little farmhouse retro and had a Real Simple magazine vibe. Our room was small but spotless, and the lobby is adorable (I love the wallpaper!). We appreciated the coffee and the continental breakfast in the morning, and my husband enjoyed sitting outside on the small patio reading his book. If we find ourselves in Williamsburg again, we will most definitely be back.

The motel keeps its vintage charm of the bygone roadtrip era of yesterday but includes tasteful, modern amenities and decor. The room was simple, comfortable, and absolutely spotless. Customer service, including the thoughtful texts, was charming. This will definitely be my place of choice to stay moving forward when I visit the Historic Triangle!

Growing up just 30 minutes from Colonial Williamsburg, I found it a delight to return and see an incredible surprise! From the outside, Rochambeau Roadside may look like a classic roadside inn, but the moment you step inside, it feels like a boutique hotel. The renovation has been done beautifully—everything feels fresh, stylish, and welcoming.
Our room was spotless, thoughtfully designed, and so comfortable. The bed and linens were top quality, and the little touches (great lighting, cozy seating, well-placed outlets, and an excellent shower) made a big difference.
The staff were the highlight of our stay. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great experience. Check-in was quick and friendly, and we appreciated the homemade banana bread as part of the continental breakfast offered on the weekend. They offered plenty of other fresh options too, good coffee, and a relaxed atmosphere that felt more like a café than a hotel lobby.
This stay far exceeded our expectations. Rochambeau Roadside Inn has managed to turn a simple roadside stop into a memorable and comfortable destination. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone passing through or looking for a charming, affordable place to stay.

I can’t say enough about Rochambeau Roadside Inn. From the moment we pulled in, we felt like we had stumbled upon one of Williamsburg’s best-kept secrets. This charming inn perfectly blends historic character with modern comfort, making it the ideal getaway spot whether you're exploring Williamsburg or just hanging out.
The rooms are immaculate. Beautifully decorated with vintage inspired touches, yet equipped with all the modern conveniences you'd want (yes, the WiFi is fast!). The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the attention to detail in the room design shows genuine thought and care. It’s the kind of place that makes you instantly feel at home. We didn't want to leave!
What really sets Rochambeau Roadside Inn apart, though, is the hospitality. The staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely go out of their way to ensure your stay is perfect. You’re not treated like a number here. You’re treated like a guest in someone’s home (Thank you, Domenic!)
The location is another huge plus. It's quiet and peaceful, yet just minutes away from Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown. It’s the perfect base for exploring the area.
Truly a five-star experience all around. 5/5 Would recommend!

The Rochambeau Road Side Inn is such a gem! The property strikes the perfect balance between nostalgic charm and modern comfort. The staff is warm and communicative, and the amenities feel thoughtfully curated—from bikes for exploring to corn hole for a bit of fun downtime.
Families will especially love the setup: kids have plenty of space to run around outside while adults can relax and connect around the firepit (with firewood thoughtfully provided), fire up the charcoal grills, or gather around the picnic tables. The mornings start on the right note with excellent coffee, making it easy to settle in and feel at home.
The beds are super comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower is fantastic—small details that make a big difference after a day out.
Don’t sleep on this spot as a lodging option in Williamsburg. It’s the kind of place that feels both easygoing and elevated at the same time. Highly recommend!

I recently had a trip planned and stayed at The Rochambeau recently, and it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff that made me feel incredibly welcome. Their attention to detail and willingness to assist with anything made my stay feel effortless and special.
The rooms were absolutely beautiful—stylish, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The décor was modern with a touch of elegance, and the beds were some of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. It was the perfect environment for rest and relaxation after a long day.
An unexpected highlight was the ability to charge electric vehicles. Having an EV charger available can make your trip so much easier and stress-free, as you don’t have to worry about finding a charging station. It’s a fantastic amenity that sets The Rochambeau apart.
Overall, I can’t recommend this place enough. The combination of excellent service, beautiful accommodations, and thoughtful amenities like EV charging makes it an ideal choice for anyone looking for a top-tier stay.

I had a wonderful stay at the Rochambue Motel! The place is cozy, clean, and full of charm the kind of spot that instantly makes you feel at home. Lyle was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond with great recommendations for local restaurants and things to do in the area. You can tell there’s real care put into both the place and the guest experience. I’d definitely stay here again next time I’m in town!

Truly remarkable, fun quirky idea to stay at a 50s motel and it is beautiful inside - incredible attention to detail, flooring was so nice I felt comfortable taking my shoes off. Bathroom beautiful, shower amazing. Perfect retreat for the weekend. Morning complimentary coffee and toast was a treat to start our days. Communication was proactive with all details needed. Incredibly helpful.
